Will Irwin has joined Lloyds Bank North America as director of FX institutional sales, based out of New York City.
Irwin joins from Spanish multinational BBVA, where he spent more than two-and-a-half years as head of institutional FX sales in New York.
On his move to Lloyds Bank North America Irwin said: “I’m excited at the opportunity to join with Lloyds Bank as they continue to invest and expand their FX product offerings to institutional clients throughout the United States and Canada.”
Irwin has been in the FX business since 2006 when he joined Nordea, spending almost six years as a senior dealer within FX sales and trading. Upon his departure, he moved to Societe Generale for three years as director, FX trader.
Irwin then joined Danske Bank in late 2015 where he spent more than four years as a director, G10 and EM FX trader.
Before working in FX, Irwin had a four-and-a-half year stint working in the treasury department at private banking and investment firm Brown Brothers Harriman.
