Tim Cook has been named director for emerging markets at market operator Tradeweb.
Cook was the head of business development at LedgerEdge until the end of last year, prior to a change in strategic direction which also saw the departure of CEO, David Nicol. Cook previously headed up EMEA sales for rates-trading platform LiquidityEdge between 2016 and 2020 and sales at HQLAᵡ which he joined in 2016. Prior to that he spent eight years at EBS Brokertec managing repo sales in the European Union and electronic trading for credit default swaps (CDS). He began his sales career at Thomson Reuters in 2006. With a good reputation in the sector and experience in fronting campaigns at an industry level, Cook is the latest in a series of experienced hires by Tradeweb which has included Lianne Fahey, a fixed income trader with over a decade of experience on buy-side desks.
