Marex has appointed Ron Catena as director of fixed income outsourced trading. Based in the US, he reports to Mike Rosen, global co-head of prime services.
Catena has 30 years of industry experience and joins Marex from J.P. Morgan Asset management, where he spent almost a decade as executive director of emerging markets fixed income.
Prior to this, he held a number of managerial roles at firms including Vandham Securities, First New York Securities and Securevest Financial Group.
Marex has also promoted John Orrock to head of fixed income outsourced trading. Orrock has been managing director of Marex Outsourced Trading, formerly Cowen Outsourced Trading, since February 2022.
Commenting on his appointment via LinkedIn, Catena said: “I look forward to applying my extensive experience to benefit our firm’s clients and collaborate with my new colleagues to further build out our bespoke services.”
