RBC has named Guy Chalkley as managing director, UK, flow rates sales.
Chalkley, based in London, reports to Kofi Oteng, European head of flow rates sales. Chalkley’s appointment is designed to enhance its European flow rates franchise, broaden connectivity, and drive a deeper share of wallet with key institutional investors in global rates product, the firm said.
Working with global trading, strategy and sales partners, Chalkley will be key to RBC’s ambition to grow market share with its UK real money and European flow rates client base, collaborating with regional colleagues to deepen and expand relationships with existing and prospective clients.
Chalkley brings more than three decades of financial services experience in both portfolio management and rates sales to his new role. Prior to joining RBC, Chalkley spent 11 years at NatWest Markets, most recently as a managing director in their institutional rates sales business with responsibility for managing a number of key strategic relationships and distributing global rates product.
Prior to this role, he held similar positions at Nomura, Citi and Morgan Stanley, and has worked at BlackRock as a European government bond, inflation and absolute return fund manager.
