Independent, privately owned investment management firm First Eagle Investments has appointed Purva Patel as managing director and senior investment specialist of the high yield municipal credit division.
In the Chicago-based role, Patel will work with the company’s distribution teams across its US and international wealth solutions, retirement and institutional channels. She will provide updates on First Eagle’s high yield municipal strategies, industry analysis and product positioning.
Patel joins First Eagle from Nuveen Investments, where she has been senior vice president for 25 years. In 2019, she was made a managing director of the firm.
Commenting on the appointment, Carl Katerndahl, chief operating officer of the high yield municipal credit team, said: “Purva’s addition underscores our commitment to providing top-tier investment solutions to our clients.
