Man Group’s Sam Ratcliff has been named head of order management and analytics – markets platform technology.
Formerly heading up the firm’s execution technology division, Ratcliff has been with Man Group for five-and-a-half years.
Prior to Man Group, Ratcliff was head of research technology at Man AHL, Man Group’s research and strategy arm, where he led a team of engineers focused on the implementation of trading signals, supporting the research process, and pushing forward the strategy technology within AHL. Before this role, Ratcliff spent more than two years as a quant developer in the fixed income division.
With a background in computer science and software engineering, Ratcliff had a lengthy stint at Daiwa Capital Markets where he worked on an in-house trading, pricing and risk system used primarily by the Asia Convertible Bond market making desk.
