Macro investment research provider BCA Research has appointed Jing Sima as China strategist.
Sima has close to 20 years of industry experience, and returns to BCA following a two-year tenure as a freelance investment consultant. Earlier in her career, Sima was a China economic policy specialist for CS Global Strategies Corporation.
Sima’s career began with New York-based think tank The Conference Board, where she spent 12 years. She joined the organisation as an associate economist for APAC, before specialising in China and finally becoming a senior economist for emerging markets.
Commenting on her appointment via LinkedIn, Sima said: “[I’m] grateful for the opportunity to return to such a dynamic team. Looking forward to reconnecting with my colleagues, contributing to the continued success of BCA, and embracing new challenges ahead.”
Arthur Budaghyan, chief emerging markets and China strategist at BCA Research, added: “Jing brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role. China continues to be a fascinating and complex proposition for investors. With Jing’s market insights and economic policy expertise, our clients will be able to best navigate the opportunities and sidestep risks in Chinese markets. I’m very pleased to welcome Jing back to BCA.”
