Ioana Scripcaru has been named head of sterling trading at Citadel Securities. The sell-side veteran built nearly a decade of experience in the rates space at BNP Paribas, where she was most recently head of GBP trading. Since 2014 she has held roles in both GBP swaps and EUR Swaps at the bank.
Scripcaru has risen rapidly in her career, building on a strong academic skillset, which saw her become a teaching assistant in her first year of study for a BSc in mathematics at University College London (UCL) Department of Management Science and Innovation.
Prior to joining BNP Paribas she worked internships at Amplify Trading in the cross-asset space, and at Coloana Prodcom in the corporate finance team.
