Federated Hermes has announced the continued growth of its trading desk, with the appointment of Imogen Hepsworth – previously of MarketAxess – as a junior credit trader.
Federated Hermes is focused on active, responsible investment management, with US$715.2 billion in assets under management as of 30 September 2023, providing equity, fixed income, alternative/private markets, multi-asset and liquidity management strategies to more than 10,000 institutions and intermediaries worldwide.
Based in London, Hepsworth will report to Dan Nicholls, head of trading. The London desk trade equity, fixed income, credit, FX, MM, derivatives, commodity & treasury with trading teams also executing in live markets from New York, Pittsburgh and Hong Kong.
Hepsworth joins Federated Hermes from MarketAxess, where she spent five years as a facilitation trader – in London and the US – servicing the institutional client base for platform trading all-to-all and credit. Prior to MarketAxess Imogen worked for JDX Consulting – a global markets consulting, managed services and technology provider after graduating with a Master’s Degree from Edinburgh University.
Federated Hermes continues to strengthen and expand its trading desk, with this announcement following the appointment of multi-asset trader Kendell James in 2023. James joined Federated Hermes as a after more than five years with Cantor Fitzgerald where he traded equities in New York and London. He had previously worked as a graduate research fellow for the US Department of Education.
