Dan Toomey has been named senior trader at Millennium, moving from his previous roll as a portfolio manager at Verition Fund Management, a position he took in December 2022.
Toomey has over 20 years’ experience in the fixed income markets. Prior to working at Verition was a senior portfolio manager in fixed income at the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System, where he managed an investment grade fixed income portfolio for the State of Tennessee pension, of approximately US$45 billion, engaging in primary and secondary markets as well as portfolio management, and the use of futures to actively adjust overall portfolio duration.
Previously he worked as a senior research associate for equity research at Raymond James Financial and as an associate in global debt advisory services at Merrill Lynch, having started his career as an associate on the trading desk at Winslow, Evans & Crocker
