Brett Chappell, the former head of fixed income trading at Nordea Investment Management, is joining Mariana UFP, a global financial services business in London with offices in Paris, Geneva, Dubai, New York, and Melbourne.

Mariana is seeking to further bolster its footprint in the fixed income universe having brought on David Blake, formerly of Northern Trust Global Investments, in September 2019 to develop and manage short-duration strategies.

Chappell has over a quarter of century experience in the bond and derivatives segments, and he will be spearheading Mariana’s activities in the Nordic region. Mariana’s goal is to create a best in class outsourced execution desk for corporate treasuries, insurance companies, pension funds, and fund managers in this space.

“Listening to investors’ needs is key to creating an optimal platform for best execution according to their strategies,” managing partner, Daniel Hawkins, explains. “Brett’s deep understanding of technological developments, market infrastructure, and the regulatory landscape can help investors fulfill their trading needs in an efficient and cost-effective way.”
