BNY has established a trading desk in Dublin, supporting EU-based clients across global fixed income and equity markets. Bianca Gould, head of EMEA equities and fixed income markets, will lead the division.
Paul Kilcullen, country head for Ireland at BNY, commented: “This is a key milestone in our international growth strategy, which will have a positive impact on Ireland’s growing role as a key financial hub in Europe.”
The new desk allows for more efficient trade execution and streamlined delivery in line with regional market leads, BNY said, and will allow the firm to develop its offering for wealth managers and their EU retail clients – a market expected to grow by 4.4% by 2029.
Adam Vos, global head of markets, noted: “Expanding into the EU is a direct response to the growing demand from our EU-based clients for execution services. We’re committed to strengthening our international offering of execution services and meeting the needs of our clients in the EU and beyond.”
