Bloomberg has made the list of Chinese outstanding green bonds aligned with the China-EU Common Ground Taxonomy (CGT) available to Bloomberg Terminal users.
This new dataset is designed to help reduce the cost and burden for investors to identify green bonds, and better enable their participation in China’s green economy transition.
Zhang Yi, president of the China Foreign Exchange Trade System (CFETS), said, “Labelling China’s green bonds within the CGT is an innovative step that promotes global sustainable investment and the shift to a green economy. More efforts are needed to raise awareness among international investors. We’re excited to collaborate with Bloomberg to provide data and information on China’s green bonds, helping to facilitate the opening-up of China’s financial market.”
Patricia Torres, global head of sustainable finance solutions at Bloomberg, said, “Bloomberg is proud to support the global sustainable financial market, providing investors with high-quality data, research, and comprehensive solutions for efficient green capital investment. China has a pivotal role in the global net-zero transition, and its green bond market’s alignment with the global market is a significant and positive outcome.”
Bloomberg users can now access the CFETS information page via {CFET <GO>} on the Bloomberg Terminal and obtain the latest list of CGT-aligned Chinese green bonds. The list can also be accessed via {WSL CGT <GO>} on the Terminal.
Bloomberg also offers investors comprehensive information on green bonds, such as tagging the bonds that are aligned with the Green Bond Principles administered by the International Capital Market Association and providing post-issuance use-of-proceeds and allocation data.
