Citadel has appointed Atte Lahtiranta as head of core engineering. He will join the firm in early 2025.
Atte has close to 30 years of experience across software design and development and technology. He joins Citadel from Goldman Sachs, where he has been chief technology officer since 2019.
Prior to this he was chief technology officer at Verizon Media, and spent four years as a senior fellow, architect and vice president of engineering at Yahoo.
Commenting on Lahtiranta’s appointment, Umesh Subramanian, chief technology officer at Citadel, said: “Citadel’s success has always been underpinned by both our engineering expertise and ability to attract and develop exceptional talent.
