Expanding its direct lending origination team, First Eagle Investments has appointed Aized Rabbani as managing director of origination. Vice president Aaron Kirsch has moved from the credit underwriting side of the direct lending team to an origination role.
In the New York metro region-focused role, Rabbani is responsible for the origination, structuring and execution of new investment opportunities for First Eagle Alternative Credit. He will work with the tradable credit and direct lending teams.
Rabbani has close to two decades of industry experience, and joins the firm from Brightwood Capital where he was a managing director. Prior to this, he was a managing director at Abacus Finance Group and spent almost 10 years with JP Morgan, both as an executive director in the corporate credit and lending division and as vice president of the Mezzanine Capital fund.
Kirsch joined First Eagle Investments in 2021 as a senior associate, and has since become vice president of originations. He has more than a decade of industry experience, and has held roles at Credit Suisse, Capital One, SS&C Technologies and State Street.
