Royal London Asset Management (RLAM) announces the appointment of Kevin Flood as head of dealing. Flood has been with RLAM for nearly three years in the position of lead fixed income dealer.

Reporting into chief investment officer Piers Hillier, Flood will head the centralised dealing team covering all asset classes. His team consists of six traders who already work with the equity and fixed income teams.

Flood has nearly 20 years industry experience, having previously worked at DWS Group where he helped set up the Fixed Income trading desk in London. Prior to this, he was at Deutsche Bank for 16 years, trading credit, loans and derivatives across London and New York.

Hillier commented, “Kevin’s appointment is a significant step in the continued expansion of our fixed income, equity and multi-asset capabilities. His extensive knowledge of RLAM and his expertise within financial markets will be hugely valuable to the business, as we pursue our growth ambitions.”

Flood added, “It’s a very exciting time to be part of the journey at RLAM. In the last five years our assets under management have grown from £84.5 billion to £139 billion, and we plan to continue on that trajectory. I’m looking forward to continuing to build our execution platform to meet RLAM’s growth plans and to deliver excellent investment outcomes for all our clients”.
