SIX releases “flexible” fixed income data offering

SIX has launched a fixed income data offering in response to growing data requirements in the market.

The SIX Fixed Income Data service gathers data across global markets with a specialism in US fixed income market data – covering 3.6 million instruments including municipal, corporate and government debt, and structured finance.

Users can access underlying source documents, such as issuance and lifecycle documentation, of instruments, alongside pricing, reference and corporate actions information.

Accessible through a centralised platform, this data can then be integrated into individual workflows through the SIX application programming interface. With this capability, SIX aims to give firms more flexibility in how they consume and interact with data, it said.

Swati Bhatia, head of fixed income financial information at SIX, explained: “Until recently, many market participants were constrained by offerings with inflexible commercial terms or forced to combine disparate data sources that lacked completeness and accuracy.

“SIX Fixed Income Data [gives] market participants the coverage, reliability, and pricing flexibility they need.”
