Trumid has hired Neptune’s former chief technology and product officer, Gavin Collins.

The newly created role will see Collins head up Trumid’s dealer-to-client Attributed Trading (AT) protocol and will be responsible for its development and expansion. AT allows dealers to stream prices on a targeted basis, negotiate bilaterally, and execute, with post trade processing and rate hedging flexibility.

Collins joined Neptune in 2021 as chief technology and product officer, where he was responsible for all aspects of the firm’s engineering and product strategy

Collins brings more than two decades of capital markets and fintech expertise to Trumid. Prior to Neptune, Collins held senior technology and product management roles at UBS, BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank, Nat West, and Citi, and is a specialist in digital innovation, transformation and product strategy

Trumid AT enjoyed a “record month” for traded volume in January, the firm said, and for the number of clients executing trades. Buy side participation reportedly drove growth, with the number of users trading in AT up 50% year-over-year. The firm says that 56 dealers and algorithmic liquidity providers are currently active in streaming actionable market data on more than 15,000 CUSIPs daily into AT, all of which it reports can also be used within Trumid’s list-based trading protocols – Trumid PT and Trumid RFQ.
