MUFG Securities Americas has hired Christopher Gerlach, a highly experienced credit derivatives and cash bond trader, as a director. He joins from BNP Paribas where he was a director in the bank’s credit trading team, working across both investment grade and high yield markets.
Gerlach joined BNP Paribas in 2018 from a credit dealing role at UBS, where he had covered cash bond, credit default swap (CDS) and exchange traded fund (ETF) trading.
Prior to his role at UBS, Gerlach worked at Société Générale as an investment grade corporate bond trader, and at Goldman Sachs for four years also trading cash and derivatives in the credit space.
