Jaya Dutt has been appointed head of markets for Central Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEEMEA) by Citi.

Dutt joined Citi in 2003 and has held increasingly senior roles spanning a diverse set of markets in EMEA and APAC. Prior to her appointment, she served as global head of risk management solutions for corporate sales and solutions. Dutt succeeds Richard Aby, who assumed the role of head of Latin American markets late last year. In a memo seen by The DESK, Amit Raja, head of EMEA markets and Ebru Pakcan, head of Middle East and Africa cluster at Citi, wrote, “Jaya will continue to drive a fully integrated business strategy, monetizing our local market network and strengthening connectivity both within CEEMEA Markets, and with our ICG and Risk and Control partners. She will provide oversight to our local activities in partnership with global product heads, local leadership teams, and leverage our global footprint and comprehensive product offering, supported by a strong risk-management discipline.”
